CareerLINK (BeachLink) - OCI Job Posting

The On-Campus Interview Program (OCI) is an effective way to schedule interviews for full-time employment or internships with talented and qualified CSULB students, graduating seniors, graduate students and alumni. This free service, which includes use of Career Center interview rooms and convenient campus parking, enables recruiters to use the online system to schedule interviews and prescreen candidates.

First Time User Registration:

  • Register with CareerLINK (BeachLink) Jobs.
  • Complete the registration form by providing all required info.
  • Confirmation of your registration will be sent via e-mail along with a username and password.
  • Third Party Recruiters please refer to Services for Third Party Recruiters according to the CSULB Employer Services Guidelines.

Request an Interview Schedule/Post an OCI Job

  • Login to CareerLINK (BeachLink) with your username and password
  • Select the On-Campus Interview (OCI)  navigation button at the top of your screen
  • Select Request a Schedule.
  • Or select Create New Schedule Request under Quick Links.
  • Complete schedule request form and include the job description for which you will be interviewing. More than one job may be attached to this schedule. 

Your request will be reviewed by the Career Center staff. Once the the schedule is assigned and the interview room is  reserved, an e-mail confirmation of your interview date will be sent to you.  After the Career Center approves your job, students now will be able to view the posted position and may now select an interview time (open interviews) or submit their resume (preselect interviews).

What are the On-Campus Interview Models?

There are three types of interviews "Open-Sign-up", "Pre-select" and “Room Only.”


The open schedule allows students and alumni meeting your job requirements to self-schedule an interview time and submit their resumes online. Your schedule fills with no more action on your part. The schedule closes two days prior to your interview date unless you request a change.


A preselect schedule allows you to pre-screen student resumes for your interviews.  After you make your pre-selections online and the CareerLINK (BeachLink) Jobs system automatically notifies the selected students. They are then responsible to self-schedule a timeslot for your interview schedule.  Using this method, there are trigger dates that prompt action on your part, i.e. for resume review and candidate selection.  There are preset system dates for these activities but these dates can be easily modified by Career Center at your request.

Room Only

This option allows you to create your own schedule of CSULB students to interview outside the online CareerLINK (BeachLink) Jobs system. This choice is suggested if, at a job fair, information session or other student meeting, you develop a list of students that you would like to interview. You set up your own time schedule directly with the candidates. Some employers also use this option to conduct second interviews. We are happy to provide you with a free interview room based on availability.

Information Sessions

This is an opportunity to tell CSULB students about the employment opportunities at your organization. These informal meetings are positive and put a human face on the employment process. To schedule an information session:

  • Login to CareerLINK (BeachLink) Jobs
  • Select Request New Information Session under Quick Links
  • Complete form and click on Submit
